Apex Cycling Marathon , 1st dry run, 2nd main event. To raise fund for Apex Penang Education Fund





Target to raise is RM 10K for the Apex Penang Education Fund for this coming dry run from Singapore - Malacca - Singapore, Marathon Cycling.
         The Marathon Cycling from Penang to Singapore next year will be a join project with Apex Singapore Harmony Lodge and Apex Club Of Penang. Expected a lot of hard work and commitment needed . Hope to raise RM 100K.

Regarding the 3rd to 5th Aug ride, I've paste the latest event update below.
Please tag on the ride to raise your own funds. So far, all the 3 Clubs in Singapore is involve & also Penang Club. We don't need a cut from your fund raising, just inform me how much you raise thru our ride. It's also a motivation for the cyclist whom 90% has never done such a long ride before.

Benefits of this Spore-Malacca-Spore
1) Fund Raising for individual Clubs
2) Building bonding among those involve & between Clubs
3) A way to introduce Apex movement to a younger generation. Bring your younger members involved or student or etc....
4) A publicity among friends that know you personally but not about your Apex involvement
5) A trial run to a bigger event next year. The logistic & challenge involve in managing a bigger cycling event, we can learn from here.

Latest info on the event:

Will cycle up to attend Apex Malaysia Convention 2012. Fund raised will solely goes to Apex Club Service/Food Distribution Project(www.apex.org.sg).
ZERO fund will be incurred on the ride. Donors, no matter how small, it plays apart. Cyclist friends who want to join in, you are welcome. My last ride there(2d/1n), only cost me S$75 incl food & lodging. Volunteers want to help out, can also do so. Terrain is fairly flat, those can do Desaru hills can do this ride, just the distant & time on your bum. Expect to cover 500km(10hrs/day for 2 days). Those who think they can't make the whole ride, wish to do relay, you are welcome too. Relay with a friend that drives, just swap every few tens of km. Expect 25km/h ride. 8 Rooms of twin sharing has been booked at Fenix Inn RM120/nite/room. Bike can safely kept in own room.
