MINUTES OF THE 914TH MEETING OF APEX CLUB OF PENANG
HELD ON 04/04/12 , 8PM AT MAY GARDEN RESTAURANT, PENANG

1. Called Meeting to Order
1.1 Meeting called to order at 8pm. Chairman, Lee Kai Eng and Fines-master,Tony Ng
2. Confirmation of minutes
2.1 Minutes of the 913th was confirmed by Jason Ang and seconded by Edward Mai.
3. Amendments
3.1 4.2 to be deleted because of repetition.
4 Service Report
4.1 Esther Kaur has received the RM300, her mother to sign the voucher since she is in
Sabah and the next payment will be on 20th April 2012.
4.2 Tesco Tanjung Bungah can’t accommodate the blood donation since they are very
Busy during the weekends and Tesco E-gate is fully booked in April.
4.3 The Cendol Stall will cost the club RM450, Mount Mariam will supply the ice and
plastic containers. To sell at RM3 at least 500- 600 cups. Apexian Lee to get Melvis,
Kim and Man Yee to help out. Mike, Victor, Tony, Jane and Balan will be out of town.
4.4 The Chershire Home thanked our club for treating the inmates during the Apex
Week. Apexian Edward said we should plan properly before carrying out projects at
St. Nicholas since there is a mixed race we have to make sure that food served is
halal.
4.5 Apexian Lee said we should visit Taiping in morning because every evening it will
be raining. Datuk Chong Kok Lim the owner has a deer farm, duck farm and go
jungle tracking.
5.0 National IRO
5.1 Apexian Edward said that he will be visiting Apex Club of Leganse, Philippines and attending theAssociation Convention from 18
to 20 May 2012. Will be attending the opening Apex Club of Leganse 2nd Day care Centre .
5.2 Singapore Convention will be in July 2012. Edward and Victor are confirmed attending.
5.3 Visit our NRM Apexian Robert in Australia from 22nd to 29th August 2012.
6.0 General
6.1 Apexian Gurmit emailed that he will be paying the percapita of RM80.
6.2 Apexian Angie said she has only 1818.11 in the service account.

Bonding with Mom-In-Law
A group of young women decided to arrange for a camp with their mothers-in-law to hopefully get to know and understand each other better since relations between them were very sour.
Two buses were hired, one for the mothers-in-law and the other for the daughters-in-law. Unfortunately the bus the mothers-in-law were traveling in was involved in an accident and all the passengers died on the spot.
The daughters-in-law (women being women) shed a few tears but they were all puzzled by one sister who wailed uncontrollably for what they perceived to be her loss.
Her friend asked her, "Forgive me for asking but why are you crying so hard, I didn't realize you were so close to your mother-in-law," to which she replied, "No... we are not close at all, she missed the bus!"

| A 5-year-old boy went to visit his grandmother one day. Playing with his toys in her bedroom while grandma was dusting, he looked up and said, "Grandma, how come you don't have a boyfriend now that Grandpa has gone to heaven?"
Grandma replied, "Honey, my TV is my boyfriend. I can sit in my bedroom and watch it all day long. The religious programs make me feel good and the comedies make me laugh. I'm happy with my TV as my boyfriend."
