The Trouble Tree

THE TROUBLE TREE

: > How easy it is to carry home our troubles from work, and how
: > devastating it can be to our families. The following story
: > reflects the wisdom of one man who chose to leave his worries
: > and frustrations behind.
: >
: > The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had
: > just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him
: > lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit, and now his ancient
: > pickup truck refused to start.
: >
: > While I drove him home, he sat in stoney silence. On arriving,
: > he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the
: > front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips
: > of the branches with both hands.
: >
: > After opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation.
: > His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two
: > small children and gave his wife a kiss.
: >
: > Afterward, he walked me to my car. We passed the tree, and my
: > curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had
: > seen him do earlier.
: >
: > "Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help
: > having troubles on the job, but one thing is for sure, troubles
: > don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I
: > just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then
: > in the morning, I pick them up again."
: >
: > "Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to
: > pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging
: > up the night before."

Song for this Christmas. An updated version

Subject: Song for this Christmas (newly updated version)

SING TO THE TUNE OF SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town.

It's hitting you once,
It's hitting you twice
It doesn't care if you've been careful and wise
Recession is coming to town

It's worthless if you've got shares
It's worthless if you've got bonds
It's safe when you've got cash in hand
So keep cash for goodness sake, HEY

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town!

Finance products are confusing
Finance products are so vague
The banks make you bear the cost of risk
So keep out for goodness sake, OH

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town.

HUMOUR>>>>
Making Decision to Buy insurance ..............
Great Eastern or Prudential or AIA???????

The husband of a pregnant wife was thinking of buying insurance for
his unborn baby.
So he asked Great Eastern and the agent said,"Don't worry man,
we'll provide insurance right from the basket to the casket".

The man was impressed but thought that he should probably seek
another opinion. He then approached Prudential.
The agent replied,"Oh, we have a new insurance policy which can
protect your unborn child from the womb right up to the tomb".

The man was stunned but thought that maybe all salesmen like to
bullshit and decided to see the agent from AIA. He told the AIA agent
what Prudential and Great Eastern had to offer.

The AIA agent thought for a while, and then said,
"Tell you something, we have one that is even better than
Prudential and Great Eastern.
We'll insure your child from " erection to resurrection " .
