MINUTES OF THE 864th MEETING OF APEX CLUB OF PENANG

HELD ON 03/02/10, 8PM AT MIDLANDS RESTAURANT, PENANG

Attendance: President Balan Menon, Victor Corbett, Mike Ong, Lifer Tony Ng,

Lifer Andrew Ong, Jason Ang, Angie Low, Anthony , Danny Tan,

Edward Mai, Jane Chan, Gurmeet Singh, Terrie Loo & Ai Choo.

Prospexians: Ryan Tang, Amie Yeap & Jonathan Shoo

Guest: Mr Richard Goh

1.0 Greetings

1.1 President welcomed Mr Richard Goh to the meeting and thanked members and

prospexians for their full attendance. He also wished in advance those who

would be celebrating the Chinese New Year prosperous and happy days ahead.

2.0 Amendments to and adoption of Minutes

2.1 Ai Choo & Balan’s names to be dropped from attendance list as they were not

present at the meeting on 20^th January 2010.

2.2 The minutes were then proposed for adoption by Angie Low and seconded by

Lifer Tony Ng.

3.0 Bursary & other Apex Service Projects

3.1 As part of Apex Service Week project, Angie Low and President Balan will plan

bursary awards for the needy students of SJK (Tamil) Mayfield.

3.2 Service Director Victor Corbett informed that Apex Pg will organize a Blood

Donation campaign on the last Sunday, 28^th of March 2010.

3.3 Victor will also list out more projects at the next meeting.

4.0 Mid-Term Meeting at Klang on 26^th & 27^th Feb 2010

4.1 President Balan and Mike Ong will be delegates to the meeting which shall also

be attended by Sr Apexian Victor Corbett and Jason Ang.

4.2 Treasurer Jane Chan will get ready the Per Capita check.

5.0 Other Service & Social events

5.1 President Balan thanked Mr Richard Goh and Edward Mai for intending to

contribute 100,000 pesos to the Leganes 45 of Philippines to finance 3 service

projects there.

5.2 Edward Mai informed members that his family and him will host a pot-luck

party at their residence on 19^th Feb 2010 to celebrate the Chinese New Year. All

were invited to attend.

5.3 Lifer Tony who will be going to Australia will find out more from Australian

Apexians about their mass tour in 2011.

6.0 Other Matters

6.1 Members expressed their appreciation that Lifer Seah Kok Lian would opt for

President of Apex Penang for term 2010/2011.

6.2 Victor Corbett will request for the NP Lily Kaur and NAAED to come for the

induction of Prospexians Amie Yeap, Jonathan Shoo & Ryan Tang as members

in early April 2010.

6.2 Fines collected for the night was RM22.20.
